There were times during the performance when Mehmet Ali Sanlikol and the band seemed to fully enter the Ottoman empire.
Songs sometime climax with Nicky Schrire improvising in a pure tone way up in her top register, like a bird darting on an updraft.
It was a rocking night, full of fun and energy. It was intelligent, maybe even a bit brainy at times.
