Coriolanus
Over the years I have seen several productions of Coriolanus, and this one is by far the most perfunctory.
The audience members were as diverse as the cast, the show is not being staged in a traditional space in Boston, and the play is incredibly relevant.
Shakespeare’s “Coriolanus” deals with the difficultly of recognizing superiority at a time of radical social breakdown, specifically when it is democracy that is in extremis.
