Be still my heart. British Pathe’s 85,000 (some sites say 90,000, but who’s counting?) newsreels are now online, which will be the salvation of documentary researchers and cultural historians everywhere, and a time sink for the rest of us.

While there is not yet a curated dance channel, a simple keyword search generated these time capsules of people around the world in motion

According to the website, “whereas all professional usages still require a license fee we are delighted to be able to offer free “preview” facilities on this site.”

I’m also sure that where the performers are listed as unidentified, crowdsourcing will come to the rescue.
